Isis District State High School encourages regular ‘three way’ communication between teacher, student and parent/carer. Parents/carers are afforded the opportunity to request a teacher interview at any time.

In addition, there are two formal opportunities per year for parents/carers and students to talk with teachers at a Parent-Teacher Interview evening. These occur early in Term 2 (Week 3) and Term 3 (Week 3).

Students receive four reports across the year with Year 11 & 12 reports issued at the end of Week 8 in Terms 1 to 3 and the Year 11 final report in Week 6 of Term 4. Reports for Years 7-10 are issued at the end of Week 2 each Term and in the final week of school in Term 4. Reports are available in QParents and emailed home, whilst the students receive paper copies the following Monday.

Teachers are encouraged to contact parents/carers on a regular basis through written and verbal means to report positive contributions by students or to identify concerns so as to work together for improvement.
