The Isis District State High School Student Resource Scheme (SRS) operates under the endorsement of the Parents and Citizens’ Association.

It aims to:

  • Assist families defray the cost of purchasing textbooks, consumable materials and other requisites.
  • Ensure that all participating students are adequately provided with additional books and materials for particular subjects.
  • Make available a far wider range of books and resources than is possible with individual purchasing.

The scheme is voluntary, however the experience is that parents/carers elect to join the scheme for its economy and convenience. Under this scheme, all students involved are subsidised for a wide range of curricular and co-curricular activities designed to provide a high quality education.

Parents/carers wishing to purchase their own materials are to contact the Business Manager for further details as only those students in the SRS receive materials from the school.

Most books and materials that students use in their curriculum subjects are supplied to students as part of this scheme.

Students who are part of the scheme also receive:

  • Student identification card;
  • Student planner;
  • Internet access for curriculum work; and
  • Enrichment resources.

Students must supply their own stationery (lists are below) and are responsible for replacing any lost or damaged textbooks or school materials.

The Student Resource Scheme Fees are reviewed and determined by the Parents and Citizens’ Association on an annual basis and charged on an individual student basis. Isis District State High School has one of the cheapest schemes within the Wide Bay area and represents excellent ‘value for money’.
