The Resource Centre at Isis District SHS aims to provide learning resources, in a variety of formats, to support the curriculum and student learning. We also aim to encourage reading as a leisure activity as well as for learning.
There is plenty to:
Read – fiction and non-fiction, newspapers and magazines and plenty of reference sources
View – videos and DVDs plus, as part of the Switched on Schools project, we receive a number of Austar channels
Use – the Resource Centre stores and maintains a range of learning technology devices with wireless internet and audio-visual equipment for teacher and student use.
Resource Centre staff are always available to assist with the learning needs of all our students and teachers. The library is open every recess for students wishing to study quietly, catch up on work, have a game of chess or just take a bit of quiet time to read or relax.
