Student leadership

The school has a strong belief in the importance of fostering strong personal and community values through student leadership.

The school also has a strong ethos encouraging 'democratic leadership' through an active, representative Student Council comprised of two students from each year level's Ambassadors, as well as Sports House Captains and the four School Captains.

A senior leadership program emphasises personal leadership which is fostered through school activities whereby all students have the opportunity to participate, for example Year 11 Challenge Camp.

Towards the end of Year 11, students nominate for Senior Leadership positions for the following year. From this, those who nominate for School Captain, participate in a rigorous election process. The announcement of the successful candidates is a much anticipated aspect of the school Awards Ceremony in mid Term 4.

Senior Leaders choose to be involved in a range of school student committees, such as Magazine, Senior Dinner and the like.

Values are further developed through participation by school leaders in a variety of community activities such as in ANZAC Day and the like.
